We have exciting news coming soon, and to maximize our impact, we will be postponing Dogathon 2024 to Q4 this year.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling but please stay tuned for more details!
Dogathon, organised by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Hong Kong) ("SPCA") , is one of our annual major fundraising events that aims to raise funds for over 1,136 homeless animals at our centres. This year’s charity walk uses signature elements of Hong Kong as our theme and we are thrilled to announce that local artist, Sharon Ng, has been invited to design and illustrate the entire event, adding a unique touch of creativity to Dogathon.
The charity walk will take place along the Wan Chai Promenade, offering participants a stunning view of Victoria Harbour. Not to mention the promenade is filled with various Instagrammable spots, perfect for capturing memorable moments.
Hong Kong is not just a city we live in, it's also home to many furry friends. We would like to invite all dog owners in the city to join this major event and make a valuable contribution to animal welfare.
The SPCA Dogathon 2024 is more than just a charity walk. It will also be a pawty where guests can go shopping at the marketplace, engage in a fun agility activity with their canine friends and enjoy music performance by local artists.
You can choose to participate in this year's event as an individual or team up with friends and family, or even as an organisation. For any individual who raised a specified amount of funds, he/she will receive a surprise gift as a token of appreciation.
1133 animals adopted into loving families in Hong Kong.
4058 animals rescued through our Inspectorate Department.
9806 animals desexed through our neutering service and animal birth control welfare scheme, helping to stabilise the animal population in the community.
21475 calls handled by the SPCA 24-hour rescue hotline requesting assistance or providing information.
